Best practices

Festa Means Party is an annual event held as part of a campaign geared to the integration of exchange students attending Catalan universities.The campaign is designed to enable students new to Catalonia to begin to find out about the Catalan culture and includes concerts and cultural and gastronomic activities. The goal is to encourage newly arrived students to learn Catalan and to foster their respect and appreciation for the Catalan culture.

An inter-university introduction to Catalonia's language and culture for students from outside the area in which Catalan is spoken  

Institution(s) involved: Platform for the Language (Plataforma per la Llengua - website in Catalan), a civic non-profit institution that promotes the Catalan tongue.
Platform for the Language is assisted in the organisation of the Festa Means Party events by:
the Commissioner for Universities and Research attached to the Government of Catalonia's,
Barcelona University Centre , the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Ramon Llull University, the University of Vic, the University of Girona and the University of Lleida
